There's an unbelievable and powerful story behind this conte drawing of great Native American LEFT HAND. The details would fill several pages and I'll keep to the basics.

I was sitting in my studio back in the mid 1970s and thinking what to do. The phone rings and it's great artist Robert Lougheed calling. He saw one of my art-pieces in a gallery window and wanted to call me about it. He invited me to put one of my works in a well known art show. Our conversation was inspiring; I couldn't believe it was happening. What you see here is the heartfelt drawing of Left Hand I sent. I also attended and met artists I'd admired for years. Being with these individuals and seeing their masterworks was a major time in my life and career.....a wonderful turning point in so many ways. I will add that it was also a time I was becoming me. -Harley
